> MEDIA should deliver a message in a clear yet rich experience. Often times a message sent in a visual media can impact and reach the intended audience far easier than in a traditional text format. Annual reports, promotional or introductory videos can be produced or recorded from live events. A single coherent source for the creation of annual reports, posters, ads (newspaper, transit, etc), and brochures can generate a far more consistent branding theme inline with the your mandate. All the different media types can be synchronized (Website --> Transit Ad --> YouTube video) for better efficiencies in distribution.

Ryerson University is a distinctly urban university located in Toronto. We developed and implemented Convocation Administration & Ticketing System (CATS). CATS is used to guide students through the process of graduation, convocating, and degree distribution. CATS processes payments for students to convocate, distributes tickets to guests using text messaging and email, provides video feeds for live captioning, manages guest sign in and out, and provides overall situational awareness during convocation. (15 ceremonies spanning 8 days, over 37 000 people moving through).

HTPN Research

Researches at Toronto General Hospital, part of the University Health Network, are investigating total parenteral nutrition (feeding patients intravenously). They required a tool that would enable clinicians from across the country to enter patient data in one central, easy to access, location. Baloo Services built a web based application that is hosted in Ontario that facilitates the collection of data, but more importantly provides automated reports, charts, and analytics to aid the researches when discovering trends or delivering conclusions.

Varsity Athletics

With over 750 varsity athletes organized into 25 different teams, the University of British Columbia’s athletic department is one of the larger collegiate sports programs in Canada. With constant demands of academic success coupled with improving awareness and attention to physical and mental wellbeing, UBC needed a solution to help integrate their Athlete Support Team. The implemented solution allows for athletes, coaches, health care providers, and support staff the ability to track key performance indicators, remove communication silos, and identify athletes at high risk. Risks might include failing academically, physically injuring themselves, or not coping with the challenges of being a student athlete.
